There are three stages to be successfully fulfilled in order to ensure safety for all affiliated parties as well as the best possible service for the service user including continuity of care. The three stages are:
- Initial assessment
- Searching and matching a suitable carer
- Regular and through checks once service provision begins.
Initial Assessment
- The initial assessment is one where Aetos Health Care introduces itself to a service user and vice versa.
- A thorough assessment of the service user will be conducted whereby the health, lifestyle, dietary habits as well as the living conditions will be assessed.
- Aetos Health Care will reassure this is done as professionally as possible with as much discretion as possible.
Searching for a suitable carer
- Matching the most appropriate carer with the service user is one of the most important aspects of Live-In Care.
- A service user will state which type of person they are looking for (specialised care needs, certain level of experience, etc.)
- Aetos Health Care is committed in prioritising that both service users and carers are extremely happy and understand each other
Constant and consistent checks
- As per company policy, Aetos Health Care will endeavour to make consistent checks (fortnightly by telephone as well as regular visits to the placement itself including spot checks).
- This will ensure that the service user is satisfied with the Live in carer, the carer is satisfied in the placement and that there is a continuity of care
- This will also ensure your well being and assist the care manager in assessing any change in your care needs.
